About the wine
The Weingut Ebner-Ebenauer is located in Poysdorf, the Grüner Veltliner community of Austria. Since 2007, the dedicated and busy winemaker Marion has been managing the winery together with her husband Manfred. Her motto is to combine the traditional with the new without being frantically modern. The 10-hectare vineyards are between 20 and 60 years old. The proud age of the vines and the focus on the typical vineyard characteristics produce unique wines.
Bio
Tasting note
Medium lemon yellow with greenish reflections, delicately fruity nose with aromas of citrus fruits, quince, apricots, white peach and intense spiciness reminiscent of white pepper. Balanced and spicy palate with superficial fruitiness and sparkling acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Weinviertel DAC Birthal harmoniert perfekt mit Apéro, Süsswasserfisch und Paella.
Vinification
After manual harvesting and a short maceration period, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation is initiated using pure yeast and takes place in steel tanks. After aging on fine yeast for three months, the wine is filtered and bottled at the beginning of spring.
