About the wine
With this distinctive Blaufränkisch 2013 — The Butcher Pinot Noir, the term taste takes on a new meaning. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from Austrian Weingut Johann Schwarz masters this red wine in the picturesque countryside of Burgenland. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Blaufränkisch with lamb or pasta with porcini mushrooms.
Tasting note
Medium ruby garnet, with delicate purple reflections. Red wild berries are coated with herbal spices. There are also fine tobacco notes, orange zest and a hint of plum. The finish is juicy, elegant, with velvety tannins, cherries and minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcuterie, Mediterranean cuisine, veal and vegetables.
Vinification
The exquisite Pinot Noir grapes are fermented and aged in large wooden barrels for 12 months.
