Fantastic wine with lamb dishes and grilled red meat.

The Syrah comes from a 9 and 17 year old vineyard in Firgrove, planted on decomposed granite soils. Grenache Noir grows on old bush vines on granite soils from Voor Paardeberg. The Cinsault has its home in Agter-Paarl from 22-year-old bush vines planted on the Malmesbury Shale. The terroir of Voor Paardeberg, Agter Paarl and Stellenbosch goes perfectly with the 3 grape varieties, with Syrah contributing the fresh red berry fruit, spices and structure, while Grenache Noir gives the wine fresh fruit, elegance and structure. The Cinsault, with its lighter fruit, acidity and freshness, rounds off the blend. The grape varieties were vinified separately, fermented in open fermenters with 3-4 push downs per day. The ageing takes place for 14 months in 300 and 500 liter barrels, 15% of which was used new wood.
