About the wine
Rippon winery is one of the pioneers in the Central Otago region. For Cameron Douglas MS, this Riesling is one of the best wines in 2023. Only 557 cases were produced. The vineyard is located on the west shore of Lake Wanaka in Central Otago, the southernmost growing region in the world. There, shale moraines meet rough gravel.

Tasting note
Very fragrant bouquet with delicious aromas of lemons, green apples and mineral notes. On the palate, the weight and freshness are breathtaking. Lemon, apple and grapefruit aromas. A refined, long-lasting wine that originates in slate.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish, seafood and summer salads.
Vinification
Harvested by hand in small 10kg boxes to bring the robbers intact to the wine cellar. Juice mashed with your foot. The next day, gently squeeze whole grapes. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks took 24 days without outside help (spontaneously with our own cellar yeast). 90 days on a yeast bed.
