Tasting note
On the nose, this wine immediately shows aromas of lime, lemon and elderflowers, which are complemented by distinct flint notes and hints of grapefruit peel. On the palate, Reserve White is a sophisticated wine with aromas of lime, grapefruit and passion fruit, which are perfectly balanced by a fine acidity and a subtle complexity of oak. The finish is long and complex and leaves a lasting impression of finesse.
Culinary recommendation
Goes very well with seafood and crustaceans, but also with white meats
Vinification
The grapes for Reserve White come from vineyards on the farm in Uitzicht. After selection, the grapes are pressed in whole bundles and fermented spontaneously. 80% of the wine is stored in new 300-liter French oak barrels on fine lees for 10 months. After cutting off the yeast sediments, the Reserve White may spend a further 4 months in stainless steel tanks.
