Pian di Nova Rosso Toscana IGT 2020 - Il Borro

About the wine

The winemaker from the Italian winery Il Borro absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. The powerful Shiraz 2014 — Pian di Nova Rosso Toscana IGT is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Shiraz with barbecue or roasted vegetables.

Tasting note
Ferruccio Ferragamo acquired the Il Borro estate in 1993 from the Duca d'Aosta, from a member of the royal Italian family. With tremendous commitment, the Ferragamo have restored the neglected hamlet, the palazzo and, of course, the entire 700 ha of agriculture and made it a unique gem of the Tuscan countryside. The restorations were carried out using old materials as faithfully as possible, using old materials. The lack of compromise with which Ferragamo know how to masterfully process the most beautiful design with the most valuable materials in fashion was also the only standard for this renovation work. This is also the case in viticulture, which accounts for a small part of agriculture. With Niccolò D'Afflitto, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ferruccio's son, who has left the hectic fashion industry, has hired an excellent oenological consultant. And as is almost always the case when it comes to exceptional quality, the recipe is very simple: the right grape variety in the right place, extremely low yields, care at every step of pressing and aging. The chef at Tattoria Il Borro also seems to go to work with roughly the same attitude of striving for the best. His food is on par with excellent wines.
