Pell a Pell DO 2022 - Celler Pardas

About the wine

This is a fantastic property, not luxury, not a jerk, but an unpretentious, healthy and complete agricultural world on an area of 30 hectares, forest, grain, fruits, vines, and all that animals, and all that since the Middle Ages, in Alt Penedès! The Can Comas estate. You simply have to have an estate like this, you simply have to do something nice there! And they have that too, Ramon Parera and Jordi Arnan make their wine here, with their hearts, with nature, with autochthonous grape varieties that other winemakers were far too laborious, not very profitable, just nature that you simply can't completely tame or chastise with chemistry. But Ramon and Jordi leave out chemicals anyway, synthetic stuff too, because they don't plough in the vineyard either. It can simply grow around the vines and with them, what lightness and inner balance radiates here, and so are the wines. Pristine beauty, inner harmony, unpretentious appearance from old varieties. The wines like the winemakers: role models.

Bio
Tasting note
Late summer on the beach — so cheerful when the sun's rays are still warm, the breeze cools, the sand tingles: a lighter, lighter, tart and yet also warm scent, more minerals and herbs than fruit. Wonderfully playful lightness on the palate, from the water: clear, floating, light to a hint of orange fruit, from the wind: mild breadth, and from the sand: distinct, slightly rough tannins, blended. It's great! What a light, minerally fresh, bitter, exhilarating orange wine.
Vinification
Selective harvest by hand. 12-day fermentation of the crushed, destemmed berries, with the tank closed. Spontaneous fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. 15-day maceration. 5 months in steel tanks. No fining or filtration
