About the wine
With the provocative Torrontés 2017 — Passo Blanco, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the Argentinean winery Masi Tupungato absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the enchanting and sunny Mendoza countryside. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer them torrontés with aperitif or salmon dishes.

Tasting note
Light straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, it has aromas of pear, peach and citrus fruits. It is accompanied by spicy floral notes of roses and orange blossoms. On the palate, it is fresh, full and round, quite long-lasting, with a touch of lime and a fine, refreshing acidity.
Culinary recommendation
A treat with sushi and sashimi, white meat or fish.
Vinification
After years of experimentation, the Appassimento technique - drying the grapes after harvesting, similar to Amarone - was used for the first time in the 2012 Passo Blanco vintage. The Pinot Grigio grapes were slightly dried in February for 15 days after harvesting to increase the aromatic concentration of the grape juice. The goal is the perfect balance between freshness, body and structure of the wine. The Torrontés grapes were cooled on dry ice and then pressed directly to preserve the uniquely spicy aromas.
