About the wine
The Weingut Ebner-Ebenauer is located in Poysdorf, the Grüner Veltliner municipality of Austria. Since 2007, the dedicated and busy winemaker Marion and her husband Manfred have been running the winery together with her husband Manfred. Her motto is to combine the traditional with the new without being convulsively modern. The 10-hectare vineyards are between 20 and 60 years old. The proud age of the vines and the focus on the typical location produce unique wines.
Robert Parker: 91/100
Tasting note
Charlene JaneceBright yellow with green reflections. This Grüner Veltliner combines the minerality and structure of the gravel soil with the spiciness and complexity of clay soil. Firm but juicy, with fine spiciness, complexity and slight saltiness.
Culinary recommendation
Zu Paella, Geflügel und Risotto empfehlen Ihnen die Flaschenpöstler diesen Gruner Veltliner Sauberg.
Vinification
Charlene JaneceKThe warm soil and low yields encourage ripe grape material. The grapes are selected in the vineyard and harvested by hand in 20kg crates. After 24 hours of maceration, the must ferments in used 500l oak barrels and small steel tanks.
