Blaufränkisch Gemärk 2020 - Weingut Ernst Triebaumer

About the wine

Picturesque landscapes of Burgenland give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Austrian Weingut Ernst Triebaumer conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Spoil your guests at Easter dinner with this provocative red wine 2017 — Blaufränkisch Gemärk. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Blaufränkisch is ideal to serve with veal fillet or pasta with porcini mushrooms.

Bio
Tasting note
Close to the lake behind the forest, hidden on chalky clay soil, Triebaumer's local hero, Gmärk, plays out his full size, especially in hot and dry years. Even then, it brings with it a pale sour fruit, precise herbal notes and stimulating acidity. Careful hand-picking, careful processing and spontaneous fermentation are also a matter of course here. The Blaufränkisch Gmärk is made with dark sour cherries, wild strawberries, cassis and blackberries. Except soft and soft, this Blaufränkisch has a strong acidity and tannin. A long and, above all, encouraging development is inevitable.
Culinary recommendation
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 12 months in barriques. Unembellished & unfiltered
