Tasting note
This Barbera Superiore initially has a very dense ruby red. The intensity and variety of the bouquet of hyacinth and lily on the one hand, and of cherry, marron glacés and chocolate on the other, raise expectations, which are then not disappointed on the palate. His very powerful body integrates all components in an exciting way. A Barbera that impresses with an impressive variety of aromas and a nice finish at this price.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 5-8 years after harvest. Flaschenpost team is recommended with strong, dark meat, Piedmontese dishes and antipasti.
Vinification
Information on vinification: Gently pressed, a traditional, temperature-controlled fermentation of approx. 7 days takes place, during which the pomace cap is pushed under daily. The must tapping then takes place immediately after the end of the fermentation process. Aged for up to 15 months in small oak barrels of French origin, the wine rests in the bottle for a further 6 months before being released to the market.
