About the wine

The Ferrer family not only produces the famous Freixenet sparkling wine, but also numerous plants from other Spanish wine regions, including from the Rías Baixas in Galicia, more precisely from the Valle de Salnés subzone. In addition to the Basque Country, the area is the coolest in Spain, which makes it a classic white wine region. 97% is planted with the excellent spicy albariño vine, which, according to legend, is said to be descended from Riesling and which results in an extremely fresh and elegant wine, not only by Spanish standards.
