Weisser Burgunder Muschelkalk Alte Reben 2021 - Kolfok

About the wine

Stefan Wellanschitz from Neckenmarkt shows the diversity of Burgenland with Kolfok wines and works at the limit of possibilities. On the one hand, there are the very different soils, but also the different microclimate zones, which provide a lot of leeway in vinification. In Burgenland dialect, the Kolfok is a character or type who defies common conventions and has his own mind. Stefan doesn't want to bottle “made wines”, but wants to be a humble observer and companion and give his plants all the freedom they need. The wines are all spontaneously fermented, not pumped, untreated, unfiltered and bottled with minimal sulfurization.

KolfokWhite wine | 75cl1312°-14°CDer Pinot Blanc verleiht diesem Wein seinen eigenen Charakter. Die verspielten Nuancen aus Mandel und Limette sorgen für den erfrischenden Geschmack.

Tasting note
Bright medium yellow green, silver reflections. Ripe yellow apple fruit covered with fine meadow herbs and mandarin zest, some mango, a touch of lime zest. Juicy, elegant, fine fruit sweetness of yellow tropical fruit, finesse structure, persists for a long time, very harmonious, pleasant minerality in the aftertaste.
