About the wine

Bodegas Godelia is one of the top wineries in DO Bierzo. With great passion and commitment, the winery was brought up to date with the latest technology by the long-established García Rodriguez family. This is reflected in the exceptional quality of the wines. The famous St. James' Way passes by the winery and provides the winery with countless hikers who treat themselves to a refreshment just before the end of the stage to Santiago de Compostela. The most important grape varieties in the region are Godello and Doña Blanca for white wine and the king grape, the Mencía, which is used to make compact, profound red wines. DO Bierzo is still known for its root-like vines, some of which are over 100 years old.
