About the wine

Winegrowing here dates back several centuries. Where the ancestors once visionary founded cooperatives in order to make viticulture possible at all with the small-scale ownership structure. With Anton Baron Longo zu Wellenburg and Langenstein, another visionary - i.e. someone who sees what is possible before others and acts accordingly - has recently prevailed and started growing his own wine again in 2011. But the fact that he not only brings outstanding, sometimes subtle, sometimes sensitively expressive wines into the bottle in such a short period of time and achieves the conversion of the 20 ha to biodynamic viticulture (Demeter 2023) and sustainable corporate management is as unbelievable as it is true and encouraging.
