About the wine
The strong red wine 2015 — Syydebandel Pinot Noir Selection is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. To get a feel for Basel's hilly landscape aesthetics, there is no way around this red wine, which the Swiss winery Genossenschaft Syydebändel masters with a keen sense of texture. The Flaschenpöstler promise a dining experience when you serve this Pinot Noir with cheese or salmon.
Tasting note
Rich, vivid cherry red. Open, intense, berry Pinot Noir bouquet. Soft, sweet palate flow with well-integrated acidity. Velvety tannin that still needs some ripeness. In short: pure Pinot Noir pleasure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Z'Vieriplättli, cheese, Basel specialities, barbecues, meat dishes, vegetarian cuisine, pasta, etc. Very versatile.
Vinification
For this Pinot Noir, late-picked grapes from the municipalities of Buus, Magden, Maisprach, Sissach, Gelterkinden and Wintersingen were pressed together in steel tanks.
