About the wine

With sensitivity and instinct, the winemaker from the Italian winery Terre di Valter masters this red wine in the blooming and beautiful landscape in Campania. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Aglianico with leek vegetables or fried potatoes.

Tasting note
The Sciapo Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC aromas of plum express a lot of character with a very unique structure. Afterwards, the refreshing nuances of white pepper, black cherry and smoke reveal their own character. Powerful body and outstanding acidity result in red wine, which shows a lot of character and class with dominant tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
It goes wonderfully with red meat, beef, lamb, game such as venison pepper, roast with mushrooms, ragout, aged hard cheese and sheep cheese such as pecorino.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation, use of effluent wine only, aging for 12 months in French barriques, then storage for 12 months on the bottle
