About the wine

The first impression of the luxurious “Recanati Special Reserve Red” with a touch of its inspiring aroma points to richness. The wine deliciously and finely structured with characters of ripe cherries, plums and raspberries. This wonderful bouquet is combined with pleasant notes of black pepper, chocolate, coffee and tobacco. This comprehensive wine has a balanced acidity and is full-bodied with concentrated aromas and a very long finish. The wine is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, which come from excellent vineyards in Upper Galilee. In the first months of aging, the wines from each vineyard are aged separately in French oak barrels. The winery's winemakers then carry out a series of samples to determine the right cuvée from the most outstanding barrels. After the appropriate blending, the wine is aged in barrels for a further 18 months. With the passionate “Recanati”, it can be very difficult to hold back from opening. However, the bottle improves with patience and remains in excellent drinking condition for a decade or even longer. Enjoy the elegant wine with rich dishes such as a juicy flank steak with a sweet potato puree, a cassoulet or with sliced veal.
