About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Masseria Borgo dei Trulli has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing landscape in Puglia. Tasting note
Intense ruby red color, aromas of black cherries, plums, spices and white pepper. The mouthfeel is full-bodied, velvety and elegant, with soft but firm tannins and a long, lingering finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hard cheese, lamb, pasta and pizza.
Vinification
After destemming, the grapes are not crushed, leaving them intact, reducing damage to the skins and optimizing color extraction. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23-25° C for 8-10 days. Frequent remontages and deletages are carried out during fermentation to achieve a gentle extraction of aromas and gentle tannins. After tapping, malolactic fermentation is initiated.
