About the wine
The dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — Poggiassai IGT Rosso Toscana is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Poggio Bonelli conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or pizza with mushrooms.
Tasting note
A wine with great personality. Intense ruby red. On the nose, red fruits, mushrooms, tobacco, pepper and chocolate. Soft in the mouth, with a balanced body. Lots of tannin but very balanced. Alcohol and freshness are never excessive.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled, red meats, roasts or medium-aged cheeses.
Vinification
Traditionally in stainless steel tanks for 10 days at a controlled temperature (28-30°C). During fermentation, further maceration of the skins for about 20 days. Then 16-18 months in small wood and 6 months in the bottle.
