About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Petra conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burger or ribeye steak.
Tasting note
The CUVÉE Petra is a Bordeaux blend of the varieties Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%). For the first time, It was pressed in 1997. For fermentation with juicy yeasts 10000 liter wooden stands are used. The wine Is mostly used for 18 months Barriques aged (Allier, Nevers, Tronçais) and it It takes another long time until the first bottles are in the Get sold. The Petra shows a rich, complex Aroma reminiscent of wild berries and tar. The Merlot Grapes add a spicy note, from Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the juicy richness. A red wine from aromatic density and fleshy texture.

Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: Die Cuvée Petra ist ein Bordeaux-Blend aus den Sorten Merlot (70 %) und Cabernet Sauvignon (30 %). Erstmals wurde er 1997 gekeltert. Für die Gärung mit safteigenen Hefen werden 10000 Liter fassende Holzstanden verwendet. Der Wein wird während 18 Monaten in mehrheitlich gebrauchten Barriques ausgebaut (Allier, Nevers, Tronçais) und es dauert noch einmal so lange, bis die ersten Flaschen in den Verkauf gelangen.
