About the wine

Sometimes it's a coincidence, sometimes great things come out of knowledge and planning, and sometimes the two come together, as is the case here. Caiarossa was founded in 1998, which replants around 40 ha of vineyards, biodynamic from the very first minute (certified in 2005), a basis on which great things should be created. The real spark, however, came in 2004, when Eric Albada Jelgersma (Château Giscours, Château du Tertre) purchased the winery and, with his immeasurable knowledge and individual signature, initiated his ascent to the top of Tuscany. Caiarosse are fascinating wines that combine the erotic elegance of the Tuscans with the cool French nobility of the Bordelais in an incomparable way, which simply delight the soul and mind.

Tasting note
Madame de Sade - this calm, seductive mature feminine elegance, red and brown silky soft fruit, so ripe and yet freed from all burdens and heaviness, rather inspired by a joyful lust, so fresh, full of youth. On the palate of such maturity and vitality, this elegance, the ripe fruit, and how it then challenges with increasing spiciness, plays, seduces lustfully elegantly, shows its desire, always with so much style and attitude, this relaxed, slender structure, sweetish-tart tannins, and always this ripe elegance of the fruit, you can really taste the waving dark, elegant dress, the nobility and lust. Great, that's how you want to age, mature like that, stay so young, the art of seduction!

Vinification
Very selective harvesting and sorting by hand, maceration for up to 25 days, fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts and aging in cement tanks, maturing for up to 14 months in old wooden barrels, a further 10 months in cement tanks and large old wooden barrels.
