About the wine

Bodegas Jalón is a small family winery whose wines are produced exclusively from 10 hectares of its own vineyards with low yields. The vines are carefully cultivated and the soil is treated only with organic fertilisers. Herbicides and other synthetic plant protection products are not used. Our vineyards have an average age of 30 years and are located at an altitude of 460 to 500 m in the Iregua Valley. Geologically speaking, our growing area belongs to the middle depression of the Ebro Valley, which is generally dominated by clay, sandstone and conglomerates from the Quaternary with predominantly loamy marl and gypsum. The area has a continental Mediterranean climate with little rainfall and extreme temperatures.
