About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Vinicola Palladino masteres this red wine in the sunny and fertile countryside of Piedmont. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Nebbiolo with beef or pizza.
Tasting note
The intense bouquet has balsamic and spicy notes, which are accompanied by berries, cherry, pepper and licorice. On the palate, the Barolo Ornato shows structure and balance, softness and robust and elegant tannins. He is strong in character with a great deal of elegance.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with beef — from steaks to stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roasts from the oven. Wonderful accompaniment to all kinds of stews — whether lamb gigot, beef shoulder, roast pork or ossobuco.
Vinification
Trade in Nebbiolo grapes. Slow fermentation (30 days) in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30°/32°C. After spending the winter in concrete tanks, the Barolo will mature in large French oak barrels for two years at the end of June. The maturation process is then continued in the bottle for another year.
