About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Vinicola Palladino has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the sunny and picturesque countryside of Piedmont. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Nebbiolo with burrata or beef.
Tasting note
The bouquet is characterized by a variety of aromas, which are reminiscent of violets, red fruits, spices, licorice and nutmeg. On the palate, it is soft and well-structured, characterized by fine tannins and well-structured acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful accompaniment to all kinds of stews — whether lamb gigot, beef shoulder, roast pork or ossobuco. Wonderful with beef — from steaks to stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roasts from the oven.
Vinification
Handpicked of the Nebbiolo grapes. Slow fermentation (30 days) in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30°/32°C. After spending the winter in concrete tanks, the Barolo will mature in large Slovenian oak barrels for two years at the end of June. The maturation process is then continued in the bottle for a further six months.
