About the wine
The dominant red wine 2016 — Montepulciano d'Abruzzen DOC Sunnae is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Col del Mondo absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and sunny countryside of Abruzzo. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Montepulciano is excellent with hard cheese or pasta.
Tasting note
The color is a strong cherry red. The intense bouquet shows lots of red fruit, accompanied by fresh, spicy notes. Extremely juicy on the palate, full-bodied, on full-bodied, well-integrated tannin. The aromatic, slightly bittersweet finish further rounds off the positive overall impression.

Vinification
Before the actual fermentation, the grapes are subjected to carbonic acid maceration. Fermentation then takes place in large steel tanks, during which contact with mash lasts 7-10 days. The wine is aged in glazed cement tanks.
