About the wine
The nature of the Bündner Herrschaft can be described with such words as mountainous or hilly. However, the Swiss winery Cottinelli is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded! Treat yourself and your guests to the senses with the fine Marschallgut Pinot Noir Reserve AOC from 2014!
Tasting note
Of an intense red color. On the nose, an unobtrusive woody note with scents of raspberries. The palate is full-bodied with pleasant tannins and the typical aroma of red berries. Accompanied by roasted aromas and some vanilla from aging in barriques. Well-balanced acid structure with well-integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with red meats, game, capuns and pizokels.
Vinification
The old, healthy vines and consistent yield regulation on the vine result in the exceptionally dense grapes. The yield rarely exceeds 600 gr/m2. After harvesting, the grapes are cooled down for 8 to 10 days (cold maceration). Then slightly warmed up to 15 degrees. Fermentation takes place through spontaneous fermentation. The aging takes place 40% in new barriques and the rest in barriques with 2nd and 3rd fillings.
