About the wine

Martin Felix Altorfer knows the ingredients, recipes and concepts for business success inside out. The Bordeaux lover was looking for “a fascinating job” after his retirement and found it in viticulture. He bought 60 hectares of vineyards and laid the foundation for his current success: The cuvées blends old torfers from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, has both expanded according to variety, complements the portfolio with Chardonnay and thus meets the taste preferences of his international clientele. The Viñas Don Martin winery is located 1000 meters above sea level on a plain in the area of Alto Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. The winery produces in small quantities to guarantee the highest quality. Most of the work is done by hand, which is why the winery also sees itself as a manufactory and works according to its motto “Precision meets Passion”.
