About the wine
The wine-growing regions of the Cottinelli winery extend across the landscapes where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this dominant white wine 2016 — Lurlibad Chardonnay Reserve AOC! Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Chardonnay is very good to serve with fish with herbs or asparagus.
Tasting note
Dark yellow color. Pleasant scent of pineapple and honeydew melon on the nose. On the palate, typical Chardonnay aromas of green apples combined with a strong vanilla aroma from aging in barriques. Long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with crustaceans, grilled fish, seasoned veal, hard cheese.
Vinification
The Chardonnay grapes from Lürlibad in Chur are carefully harvested and destemmed by hand. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented in French barriques and then aged in the same barrels for 9 months. The classic Burgundy bottles are then filtered and bottled as finely and gently as possible. After storage in the bottle for a few months, the wine is sold. The earliest release of the sale of a reserved wine is 12 months after November 1 of the production year.
