About the wine
You will certainly have a lot of fun with the first-class Grauer Burgunder Alte Reben Jaspis, which was produced in 2013. The winemaker from the German winery Hanspeter Ziereisen has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the sunny and fertile landscape in Baden.
Tasting note
Very intense on the nose, peach, apricots, tangerines, ripe apples, pears and Provencal herbs. Dry on the palate, enormous pressure and power, light bitter tones, very elegant, finesse and complex, well-integrated tannins and lots of melting with an almost infinitely long finish. Decanting is recommended.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with poultry, saltwater fish, seafood, veal
Vinification
Grapes from a plot of land over 50 years old, picked and sorted by hand, gently pressed in a basket press, spontaneously fermented in traditional 450 liter wooden barrels, matured on the lees for 20 months, then bottled unfiltered
