About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery J. Vidal-Fleury grows this wine in the Côtes du Rhône countryside. Easter 2019 is just around the corner! Tasting note
On the nose, a fragrant, elegant bouquet. Delicate hay and rosehip tones, ripe, dark fruit and a bit of herbal scent behind it. Delicate on the palate too, yet expansive, very elegant with fine tannins. Very juicy and persistent in the finale.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine with lots of herbs, mature cheese and braised meat dishes.
Vinification
The grape varieties are harvested by hand and separately. Traditional fermentation with naturally occurring yeasts takes around two to three weeks at a controlled 30°C. The pomace hat is often doused over for optimal yield of color and aroma, especially at the beginning. After fermentation, the wine ages in large wooden vats for nine months.
