About the wine

The Le Clos de Caveau winery is located in Vacqueyras, about 35 km northwest of Avignon and was acquired in 1976 by Gérard and Nicole Bungener, who thus laid the foundation for their family winery. As pioneers in organic farming, the Bungeners converted their property as early as 1980 and received official recognition in 1989. Henri Bungener has been managing Clos de Caveau since 1994 and has made the 14-hectare estate one of the best addresses in the Vacqueyras appellation. He succeeded in doing this primarily because, in addition to his consistent organic work, he also carries out an equally consistent interpretation of the terroir.

Tasting note
Die fruchtigen Aromen des Fruit Sauvage Vacqueyras AOP von Brombeere, Brot und Marmelade drücken viel Finesse mit einer ganz einzigartigen Struktur aus. Im Anschluss zeigen die erfrischenden Nuancen von schwarzer Johannisbeere und Schokolade ihren eigenen Charakter. Mit verhalten fein ausgebauten Tanninen, mittelkräftigem Körper und dominanter Säure zeigt dieser fruchtige Rotwein seine meisterliche Beschaffenheit. Dieser Top-Wein erhielt den Preis: 2015: 92 Robert Parker.
Culinary recommendation
Unsere Empfehlung: Geniessen Sie diesen Rotwein bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C. Im folgenden Zeitraum liegt die ideale Genussphase dieses Weins: Jetzt bis 2025. Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Fruit Sauvage Vacqueyras AOP harmoniert ideal mit Barbecue, geröstetem Gemüse und Wild.

Ein paar Worte zur Vinifikation: Natürliche Fermentation mit wilder Hefe, 1-2 Monate Mazeration, 12 Monate Reifung (50% in grossen Eichenfässern, 50% in Zementfässern)
