About the wine

The Josef Krug & Co. winery was founded in 1922 in Winterthur. The winery processes and presses Blauburgunder grapes from the Zurich wine country using traditional methods into Federweiss, classic Pinot Noir, or lets the wine mature in local oak barrels to make our Pinot Noir Barrique or Goldenberge Cuvée. Each vintage should represent the character of the year, which is why the wines are standardized as little as necessary and only refined when necessary. A good wine takes time, so the maturation of the wine is determined and this determines when the new vintage will be bottled, which can be autumn if you like it. Thanks to the traditional production methods, Krug wines have very good shelf life.
