Farradjales 2020 - Domaine de Courbissac

About the wine

A film producer, Reinhard Brundig, a winemaker, Marc Tempé, one realizes dream images, the other dream wines a shared dream: a winery, 2002, southern France, Minervois, Languedoc: Nature first, biodynamic farming, old vineyards, excellent terroirs on the foothills of La Montagne Noire. The success was big and fast, the estate has grown to 30 ha to date and is a safe value year after year and since 2013 Brunnhilde Claux has been responsible for winemaking (after years with Gauby and Terroir al Limit!) , harvested earlier, without using new wood, the wines have become fresher, finer, more elegant, the pure pleasure of wines that accompany you through life are simply part of it, year after year and the best are simply terrific, and all at very pleasant prices.

Tasting note
Bird in flight, fragile safety, the sweet gliding of ripe red fruit, berries, a sweet touch of cream, but also the dynamism in the air, ethereal, herbs and spices, thyme, this up and down yet always at a high altitude, lightness and intensity. On the palate with transparency, a flying bright red fruit and an almost sparkling essential spice, including cinnamon, and tart, bright minerality, flies in nice balance, even with power, more in motion than gently gliding, lands light-footed on the fresh, sweet fruit. The beguiling combination of lightness and intensity - and an exotic feature: 100% Cinsault - be sure to try it!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Farradjales passt perfekt zu Wild, kräftigen Fleischgerichten und Pizza.
Vinification
Very selective harvest and sorting by hand, short extraction, whole grape fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in concrete vessels, mashed with the feet and pressed very gently, maturation in large oak barrels, only minimal sulphurization before filling.
