About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Viña Zorzal has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque landscape of the Upper Ebro. This red wine 2019 — Cuatro del Cuatro Graciano crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Graciano is ideal for serving with tapas dishes or fried chicken.
Tasting note
A clear, medium-bodied garnet red in the glass, from the scents of wild berries, framed by an earthy touch of spices. On the palate, the Cuatro del Cuatro is dry, fresh with a pronounced acidity, but at the same time it has a broad, fleshy texture, which makes it wonderfully balanced. It also impresses with its beautiful tannin structure and terroir-specific minerals.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcuterie, grills, pasta and pizza.
Vinification
The Graciano is picked by hand and ferments with local yeasts in 500-liter French oak barrels. The malolactic fermentation and subsequent 12-month aging takes place in two-year-old 300-liter French oak barrels. Gentle clarification and filtration before bottling, without stabilization.
