Tasting note
That stays in the memory: Its dense ruby red gives every occasion a special touch. The fragrance spectrum of the Clos de la George Pinot Noir Grand Cru of mushrooms and caramel candy shows aromatic complexity and a lot of finesse. The dominant nuances of raspberry, cherry and vanilla shape their individual texture. Medium-bodied and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which is pleasant with fine tannins in the mouth and shows plenty of character and class.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 14°-16°C. Flaschenpost team recommends this Clos de la George Pinot Noir Grand Cru to accompany cheese, duck and salmon.
Vinification
For many years, the entire winery has been managed according to environmentally friendly principles. Ripeness monitoring to determine harvest time, yield limit, harvest and hand-pick to keep berries intact. Additional sorting out of the best berries upon arrival in the cellar. Maceration on the skins for approximately three weeks. Ageing on fine lees in oak barrels for 12 months. Easy filtration.
