About the wine
Picturesque landscapes of the Moselle-Saar-Ruwer region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the German Weingut Immich-Batterieberg conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Riesling can be served very well with mushrooms or Asian food.
Tasting note
On the nose, this fresh and crisp Moselle Riesling shows off with aromas of green apple, apricot, peach, lime and a little basil. Dry on the palate (3g/l residual sweetness and only 10.5% vol.). The juicy acidity and light body result in a great balance and an enormous amount of drinking flow. The aftertaste is carried by the fruit and the minerality reminiscent of wet stone.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler is recommended for Indian cuisine, shrimps and Asian food.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the wines are aged largely uncontrolled both in wooden barrels and in stainless steel tanks and left on full yeast for a long time. The purist and dry wines are neither refined nor deacidified.
