Tasting note
During the tasting, this wine reveals delicious spicy and fruity aromas, but also ginger and toasted bread, which are supported by a wonderful minerality. The lively finish is very durable.
Culinary recommendation
Serve it with fried porcini mushrooms on bruschetta, freshly cooked West Coast Rock Lobster Tail in lemon aioli, or simply in good company.
Vinification
Crocodile's Lair Kaaimansgat Chardonnay 2020 by Bouchard Finlayson is a wine from Western Cape grown on a vineyard in the Elandskloof Valley. The area is 700 meters above sea level and got its name from the mispronunciation of a Dutch settler, Kwaaiman. 10-hour mash fermentation in tanks before being filled in for alcoholic fermentation. Aging for eight months before assemblage.
