Tasting note
In the tasting room of Azienda Azelia, there is a huge clock, made of wood down to the last screw and cog by Luigi's grandfather, winemaker by profession as well as Luigi himself. And every morning, Luigi first winds up this watch, which is also a symbol of the care, accuracy and reliability that determine the work of the winemaker and winemaker. In addition to his famous single-vineyard wines, Luigi Scavino also produces an excellent Barolo, the he assembles from the two municipalities of Serralunga d'Alba and Castiglione Falletto. The average age of the vines is around 50 years. The ripe wine shows a harmonious balance, is rich in finesse and full-bodied with spicy (cinnamon) and fruity notes (fully ripe strawberries). It appears rich, soft and precise, defined with a good tannin structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb, beef, veal, venison, pork and grilled meats.
Vinification
