About the wine
Giovanni Corino's philosophy is based on the following basic principles: great attention to work in the vineyard in order to preserve the characteristics of the terroir while respecting nature. For this reason, products based on copper and sulfur are mainly used, without the use of pesticides. The sulphite content in the bottles is at least 50% less than what Italian law allows. When vinifying, Corino tries to find the right balance between modernity and tradition.

Tasting note
Ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, aromas of ripe red berries develop, combined with hints of violets and developed notes of undergrowth and dark spices. Balsamic notes and notes of roasted dried fruit permeate the bouquet. The taste is elegant and strong, supported by soft tannins and an exciting aftertaste with balsamic herbs and spices.
Culinary recommendation
It goes perfectly with ripe cheeses and rich, earthy dishes made from red meat or game.
Vinification
The wine was made by macerating the must in contact with the skins for 5-7 days at a controlled temperature of 25-30°C. The aging took place for 24 months in small French oak barrels, 35% new and 65% used. Before release, the Barolo Bricco Manescotto 2018 from Giovanni Corino rested in stainless steel for a further 6 months and in the bottle for 12 months.
