In the Bricco San Biagio area rich in limestone and clay Below La Morra, Oberto's 60-year-old Barbera vines. The vines are remarkably tight: 7000 vines on a hectare. The yields are low (40 hl/ha), which Extract correspondingly high. Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: In der kalk- und lehmhaltigen Lage Bricco San Biagio unterhalb von La Morra stehen Obertos 60-jährige Barbera- Reben. Die Stöcke stehen bemerkenswert dicht: 7000 Reben auf einer Hektare. Die Erträge sind gering (40 hl/ha), der Extrakt entsprechend hoch. Ein 12- bis 18-monatiger Ausbau in französischen Barriques dient vor allem dazu, dem ausgesprochen reichhaltigen Wein mit seinen dichten Beeren- und Gewürznoten eine weiche Tanninstruktur zu verleihen. Die Opulenz des Barbera d'Alba Bricco San Biagio ist kaum zu überbieten. 2500 Flaschen werden abgefüllt.
