About the wine

As early as 1896, the great-grandfather of Jean-René Germanier pressed the domain's first wine in the old vaulted cellar. Germanians live here deep in Balavaud, in the region around Vétroz, and see that nature, the vines and the people around the winery are doing well. Only those who celebrate innovation in addition to tradition will last this long: Today, the 100-hectare winery is run by Jean-René Germanier and his nephew Gilles Besse in the fourth generation. 15 years ago, the Germanier Winery was a pioneer with its integrative production; 5 years ago, it was certified organic. Here, lively, powerful wines are made from autochthonous grape varieties, with passion and terroir.
