Tasting note
Dense brick red with slight brightening around the edges. Complex bouquet with aromas of dried fruits, ripe figs, berries, tobacco and caramel sweets. Medium-weight, elegant body with a harmonious structure. Nice balance of sweetness, tannins and acidity. Aromas of jam, nuts and almonds shape the palate. Very intense and long-lasting in the aftertaste.
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are mashed in so-called Lagares for around 2-3 days. The must is then filled into stainless steel tanks, during which alcoholic fermentation begins. As soon as around half of the sugar has been converted into alcohol, fermentation is stopped with aroma-free brandy.
