About the wine
The winemaker from the South African winery Van Loggerenberg greets us with this wine, which he grows in the countryside. With the strong red wine 2017 — Van Loggerenberg Cabernet Franc Breton, you can offer your guests something very special. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Franc with goat cheese or ravioli.

Tasting note
The irresistible bouquet with notes of cedarwood and tobacco is very intense and beautifully defined. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and lively, with grainy tannins, tobacco, sage and white pepper on the finish. In addition to Raats, this is one of the best representatives of the grape variety in the Cape.

Vinification
A blend of 3 vineyards, all planted on granite soils in Polkadraai. Two out of three of the vineyards are fermented as whole grapes, which contributes to aromatic spice and herbs, before being aged in old oak for 10-11 months.
