About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Nervi has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and fertile landscape of Piedmont. With the snappy Nebbiolo 2014 — Valferana Gattinara DOCG, you can offer your family and friends something very special. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Nebbiolo with burrata or prosciutto.
Tasting note
As the name of the site suggests, this vineyard in Gattinara is characterized by iron. The wine shows this impressively on the nose with fresh, red-berry aromas paired with elegant smokiness. On the palate, the wine has a great structure and aromas of fresh pepper, kumquat and some tobacco. The tannins are youthful but ripe. Wine certainly still has its best years ahead of it, but it is already exciting to discover.
