Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 — Turaia Bolgheri Superiore DOC! The winemaker from the Italian winery Alfredo Pellegrini masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the fertile and blooming landscape of Tuscany. Tasting note
Ruby red color, with garnet reflections. Intense and persistent fragrance with highlighted character of vanilla, tobacco, spices and ripe fruits such as blueberries and cherries. Warm taste with enveloping softness, round tannins and a fruity, spicy and persistent aftertaste. These characteristics enable an excellent longevity of the wine.
Culinary recommendation
Starters with game, lamb or beef, but also with a hearty Italian pasta.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled and constant temperature for 10-12 days, maceration for another 12-15 days. After the bottling has been carried out by gentle pressing, malolactic fermentation begins in steel, which is favored by the presence of the noble yeast, and ends in barriques. After 3 months in French barriques, and a further 3 months for the assembly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the wine is finally bottled, followed by another 3 months of aging in the bottle until it is finally sold.
