About the wine
Blooming and sunny landscapes in Puglia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Tormaresca conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. A must for connoisseurs, this strong Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 — Trentangeli Castel del Monte DOC! Tasting note
Dark ruby red. On the nose, a wonderful, intense scent of small, red wild berries. Plus sour cherries and warm spices, notes of undergrowth and dark, sweet tobacco. Juicy on the palate, well-balanced, elegant. The noticeable but velvety tannins are well integrated and give the wine character. The aftertaste is spicy and of good length.
Culinary recommendation
A decidedly Mediterranean wine that goes well with all herb-spiced dishes.
Vinification
The grapes come from the Minervino Murge (Bari) and San Pietro Vernotico (Brindisi) areas. They are harvested separately, vinified in steel tanks and then aged for ten months in French and Hungarian barriques and then assembled. The wine is left to rest in the bottle for a further eight months before it goes on sale.
