About the wine
The winemaker from the Portuguese winery Herdade de Coelheiros has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and sunny landscape of the Alentejo. Tasting note
Dark, almost dense garnet red. Powerful nose with notes of black fruits reminiscent of spices and tobacco. The intensity of the freshness of Cabernet Sauvignon stands out in the mouth, followed by the silky texture of the Alicante Bouschet, which results in an elegant and persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, game, hard cheese and lamb.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked in 25 kg boxes and destemmed. The must is fermented in steel tanks at 26-27 °C after it has been left on the mash for 5 days. The wine is then drawn off and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
