About the wine

Tasting note
The Scheurebe pleases with a bright golden yellow. On the nose, strong aromas of vineyard peach, grapefruit, some blackcurrant and passion fruit inspire. The palate is extremely juicy with aromas of sweet stone fruit, southern fruits and a hint of nutmeg. An exotic white wine with opulent fruit, a pleasant acidity and a long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with aperitifs, aromatic starters, fish or poultry, Asian cuisine, Mediterranean vegetable dishes, quiche and cheesecakes or simply for pure enjoyment.
Vinification
The Scheurebe grape variety was bred in 1916 by Georg Scheu. It is a cross between Riesling and Sylvaner Musqué (bouquet grape). The grapes for this Scheurebe come from average 35-year-old vines from the south facing Gau-Algesheimer St. Laurenzi Chapel. After manual harvesting and cold maceration, the juice is spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks. The maturation takes place on the lees for approx. 4 months.
