About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the French winery Domaine Fournier Père et Fils masteres this white wine in the fertile and sunny landscape of the Loire. With the provocative white wine 2021 — Sauvignon Blanc Cuvée Mmm..., nuances and accents are redefined. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Sauvignon Blanc can be served very well with goat cheese or white meat.
Tasting note
Sauvignon Blanc is the flagship grape variety in eastern Touraine. This region is known for its easily recognizable Loire-style Sauvignon. The wine is grown on clay-sandy soils in the municipalities of Oisly, Couddes and Thenay. Fournier's Sauvignon translates its terroir through strong aromatic intensity with a full-bodied, fruity and very appealing palate.

Flaschenpost team recommends this Sauvignon Blanc Cuvée Mmm... with white meat, mussels and fish. Our recommendation: The white wine tastes best at slightly chilled 12°-14°C.
Vinification
Thanks to the warm period in early autumn in the Touraine region, the grapes can fully ripen. The grapes are harvested at night or early in the morning so that all aromas are retained. The juice is traditionally vinified. The grapes are aged in stainless steel tanks, and the grapes are aged twice a week for at least 6 months. The wine is bottled in spring after harvesting, after only slightly filtering.
